2025 was a year defined by bigger adventures, bolder engineering, and builds that pushed the boundaries of what a luxury overland van can be. So in the spirit of a “Wrapped” moment for the road-ready elite, we’re celebrating the standout conversions that turned heads, raised standards, and rewrote the expectations of modern travel.

#10 DOC HOLLIDAY 170 PRO-X
This Doc Holliday build shows you compromise is a dirty word. Starting with the Doc Holliday 170 floorplan, an interior convertble shower, and curly walnut cabinet faces, its balanced perfectly between luxury and function. This van is loaded with our Pro-X trim, but, these customers took advantage of our a la carte additions and added a skylight, and 2 additional captain's chairs to once again draw the perfect balance between form and function.
#9 SUNDANCE KID 144 PRO-X
We love this Sundance Kid build for its congruency in design. From the custom wheel-matched graphics, to the custom-stitched mountain pattern cafe seats, this van was designed to be subtle, but premium. With the addition of a skylight, accessories from Dark Star Offroad, and a custom-inlaid cafe table, this build's pallete came together and has provided inspiration for many builds since.
#8 SUNDANCE KID 170 PRO-X
This build showed us what's possible on the Sundance Kid 170 floorplan. With an added cafe seat, 2 captain's chairs, and a Lagun table, it's one of our favorite hang-out layouts to date. Add in exterior upgrades from Evictus, CATuned, and more, and you have a premium overland machine that is as comfortable inside as it is rugged on the outside.
#7 CUSTOM PASSENGER VAN
Though we're known for our high-performance off-grid camper vans, we dabble from time to time in a project that's a bit outside our standard scope. We were approached by Lotko Family Lodge with a challenge: build a van with the Off Highway Van ethos, but make it seat 11. We took this challenge on and delivered one of our favorite custom passenger van builds to date.
#6 DAVEY JACKSON 144 PRO-XR
When we say "loaded" this Davey Jackson 144 Pro-XR was one of the first vans that came to mind. Taking advantage of our R package, and Pro-X trim, this van is not only premium on the interior, it's ready for any overland adventure on the exterior. With an upgraded roof rack, power awning, custom color-flip graphics package, and more, this build was a no-brainer for our list.
#5 DAVEY JACKSON 170 PRO
If there was one word to describe this Davey Jackson 170 build, it's commitment. When this customer came in to build their van, they wanted it as functional as possible for the most trip types and lengths, and purple was non-negotiable. Add in a custom-resin inlaid Lagun table, Lonseal flooring, Method race wheels, a CATuned bumper, and color matched powder coat, fabrics, and graphics and you have one of our favorite builds of the year.
#4 SUNDANCE KID 144 PRO
We love it when a palette comes together. This customer went simple, but luxurious on their color choices for their Sundance Kid intermingling multiple shades of black and gray while letting their Sapele cabinet faces speak for themselves. We love the mix of brutalist color and natural woods that truly brought something special and premium to this van's interior.
#3 SUNDANCE KID 144 PRO
This customer took resin-inlaid as a personal challenge. From the custom Lagun table to a full suite of inlaid cabinet faces, this Sundance Kid 144's interior is truly 1 of 1. Add in the custom stitched mountain pattern seats, along with premium upholstered captain's chairs, and our expanding bed system and you'll find one of our most-premium 144 interiors to date.
#2 SUNDANCE KID 170 PRO-XR
When we think of custom interiors, this Sundance Kid 170 is the first in our mind. Not only is the color palette truly special, we also added a custom-engineered, auto-opening dog kennel under the bedframe with CNC cut aluminum and powder coat matched doors. Talk about functional. In addition, this customer also chose resin inlaid cabinetry, custom upholstered seating and more!
#1 DAVEY JACKSON 170 PRO
This Davey Jackson 170 build took the #1 slot for a few reasons. Not only did these customers choose a beautiful color scheme, they truly went the extra mile for personalization. From the turquoise-inlaid cabinetry, to the custom faucet, novel flooring choice, and a 3' x 5' skylight, they took our customization options and ran with them. Add in a full suite of exterior upgrades from Dark Star Offroad, and you have our favorite build of the year.
